The College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico (CIAPR) is a non-profit organization established by law in 1938, our mission is to promote the defense and development of engineering and surveying by fostering ethics and excellence in professional practice for the benefit of the collegiate and the people of Puerto Rico (PR).

Since its foundation, under Law No. 319, ciapr has made its voice and action felt in favor of its members and Puerto Rican society.

The College has among its powers, to ensure the interests and duties of Puerto Rican society, to protect and ensure the rights of its members in the performance of their professions and to pronounce on matters of public interest.

CIAPR has belonged to and collaborated closely with other professional organizations, such as the College of Agronomists, Pharmacists, College of CPA, Association of Industrialists, Council of the Construction Industry, Association of General Contractors and the Private Sector Coalition. In terms of government advice, the College has participated in multiple bills for the benefit of the People of PR, such as energy, environmental and now in terms of the reconstruction and infrastructure of the island. Our initiative, “Infrastructure 2030″,” has been the inspiring basis of bills (such as P del S. 665) that seek to reactivate economic activity through the creation of solid and quality infrastructure in the process of promoting a sustainable future for the Puerto Rico of tomorrow.
