Proposals for the Economic Development of Puerto Rico

Historically, during election years, the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce (PRCC) has invited gubernatorial candidates to share their economic development proposals with our membership. Additionally, at various times, we have provided specific recommendations for consideration and inclusion as part of their governmental initiatives. In 2020, we signed 12 agreements with each party, addressing diverse topics and suggestions.

This year, the PRCC has decided to take a proactive role by providing statistical data and generating public policy measures on the demographic challenge in Puerto Rico and other issues that require immediate action. With the mandate of our members from the Annual Assembly to continue initiatives in the areas of health, education, security, and economic development, we have shared key recommendations with the candidates.

We are convinced that this exchange of ideas and knowledge will be beneficial for everyone and will significantly contribute to the creation of effective public policies that promote Puerto Rico’s development.
