Kenneth Rivera-Robles, Esq., CPA

Former President, Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce

An accomplished tax practitioner, Kenneth holds 30 years of experience and is a recognized authority on tax matters across the island. His extensive experience with diverse tax and legal issues for new businesses, mergers and acquisitions, and tax exemption applications make him an invaluable asset. He lectures frequently at the Puerto Rico CPA Society, the University of Puerto Rico (Business School and School of Law), Becker CPA courses for CPA candidates, and other professional and educational organizations. In 2012, he served as President at the Puerto Rico Certified Public Accountant Society, and as President of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce in 2018. He was also president of the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA). 

Kenneth holds a BBA in Computer Programming and Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico and a JD from the Law School of the University of Puerto Rico. He also holds a Certificate in Comparative Tax Policy and Administration from Harvard Kennedy School.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Puerto Rico Bar Association, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association, and the Alliance of Mergers and Acquisitions Advisors. Furthermore, he is also a Certified Valuation Analyst and a Certified Mergers and Acquisitions Advisor.  He has a Certificate in Fundamentals of ESG (AICPA).

He has been a consultant for various private companies, NGOs and various Government Agencies.  In 2015, he was designated by the Senate of Puerto Rico in a Committee for the Evaluation of the Consumption Tax System.  In 2021, he was designated by the Governor as part of a Committee to Evaluate the Tax System of Puerto Rico.
