Law 75 of May 31, 1973 created the College of CPA as a legal entity with its own personality. This law established the requirement of compulsory collegiality which establishes that in order to practice public accounting in PR you must be a member of the CCPA.
Its mission is to serve the collegiate and promote their professional excellence. Its vision is to be the avant-garde institution that provides the CPA with the competencies for its professional success and promotes its participation as an entity of change, for the profession and the socio-economic development of PR.
The CCPA is directed by a Governing Board and has eight Chapters: San Juan, Río Piedras, Bayamón, Ponce, Mayagüez, Caguas, Northern Area and State of Florida.
