Attorney Liza García, Executive Director of the CCPR, and Ignacio Díaz, Chief Commercial Officer of Glenn International, discussed the topic of the moment: energy.

Díaz began by explaining the services offered by Glenn International. As our President, Attorney Margaret Ramírez Báez, mentioned at the beginning of the program, we need energy stability in order to remain competitive. Díaz agreed, and for that reason, the ENERGY 2025 event will be held on October 10 at the Convention Center: the biggest renewable energy event in the Caribbean.

First Meeting of the President with the CCPR Council of Past Presidents

This past Wednesday, August 13, Attorney Margaret Ramírez Báez, the new President of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, held her first official meeting with the Council of Past Presidents, currently chaired by Engineer Raúl Gayá Nigaglioni. The meeting took place at the Royal Sonesta San Juan during a working lunch that brought together 17 past presidents of the CCPR.

During the meeting, President Ramírez Báez presented her 2025–2026 Work Plan, highlighting the strategic priorities for the new fiscal year. Discussion topics included strengthening economic development, actively advocating for the private sector, and promoting multisectoral initiatives that position Puerto Rico as a model of sustainable and inclusive growth.

First Meeting with Committee Chairs 2025–2026

Yesterday afternoon, the President of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, Attorney Margaret Ramírez Báez, successfully held the first meeting of the 2025–2026 fiscal year with the Chairs of the Institution’s Administrative and Sector Committees. The meeting took place at the facilities of Triple-S Plaza and brought together over 20 leaders from private sector companies.

The Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce (CCPR) held the official swearing-in ceremony for Attorney Margaret Ramírez Báez as the new president of the business organization for the 2025–2026 term, marking a significant milestone for female leadership in the Island’s business sector. During the event, the new Board of Directors and Committee Chairs also took office, joined by distinguished members of the public and private sectors.

First Board of Directors Meeting 2025–2026

Yesterday afternoon, the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce (CCPR) held the first meeting of its new 2025–2026 Board of Directors at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Isla Verde.

During the meeting, the official swearing-in ceremony took place for the new President, Attorney Margaret Ramírez Báez, as well as the newly appointed members of the Board of Directors. The Executive Committee and Committee Chairs were also appointed, marking the formal beginning of a new phase of work.

Key priorities and strategic focus areas for the new fiscal year were discussed, reaffirming the CCPR’s commitment to economic development, the defense of the private sector, and the promotion of multisectoral initiatives that will move Puerto Rico forward.

La Voz Experta: Economic Outlook for the New Fiscal Year

The president of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, Attorney Margaret Ramírez Báez, interviewed Graham Castillo, president of Estudios Técnicos, Inc., about the economic outlook for the new fiscal year.

Castillo highlighted the role of Estudios Técnicos as the leading consulting firm in planning, research, market strategy, social policy, and economic advisory services in Puerto Rico. He explained the differences between the concepts of well-being and macroeconomics, as well as the current challenges facing the island in a broader and riskier global context, impacted by public policy shifts in the United States.

Última Reunión Junta Directiva 2024-2025 y Establecimiento de la Cámara de Comercio Sección Norte

Durante la tarde de lunes 30 de junio la Junta Directiva 2024-2025 celebró su última reunión ordinaria en ReActiva-Espacio Multiusos en el corazón de Arecibo. Durante dicha reunión se discutieron varios temas y se aprobó el Plan Estratégico de la CCPR 2025-2030 y el Presupuesto para el nuevo año fiscal 2025-2026. Se realizó además el Cambio de Mando entre el Presidente Saliente Luis E. Pizarro Otero y la Presidenta Entrante Margaret Ramirez Báez quien ofreció a los presentes su mensaje. Por su parte el Lcdo. Luis E. Pizarro Otero ofreció su mensaje de agradecimiento y este recibió de parte de la Junta Directiva una resolución de felicitación y reconocimiento por su entrega, liderazgo estratégico y compromiso con el desarrollo multisectorial de la isla. Esa tarde también se reconoció el valioso trabajo y dedicación de la Directora de Mercadeo y Ventas Sandra González por sus pasados 17 años de excelencia en la CCPR. Luego de la reunión se realizaron los Actos de Establecimiento de la Cámara de Comercio Sección Norte ante un nutrido grupo de comerciantes de la zona con la participación de funcionarios del gobierno municipal de Arecibo, Barceloneta y Vega Baja.
