Mr. Rodriguez-Ortiz, assumed the Presidency of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce on July 1, 2016.

He is a Certified Public Accountant since 1998 and a Certified Internal Auditor since May 2000. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also President of Sageza, LLC, a firm he established in 2010.

He has over eighteen years of experience in the public accounting field that includes working for two international CPA firms and two local CPA firms where he started as a Tax Specialist and later moved on to Senior Tax Associate, Tax Manager, Director of a Tax Department, and Partner in charge of new business development, the tax department and corporate advisory services.

His work experience has provided him with a solid corporate and financial background with ample knowledge in all matters related to Puerto Rico, United States, and International corporate and tax laws. Also, he gained varied exposure on business reorganizations of corporations and partnerships, and represented clients in administrative procedures at the Puerto Rico Treasury Department, Municipal Revenue Collection Center (CRIM) and municipalities.
