Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce to Present the Results of the 2025 Studies: Business and Consumer Confidence Index
The Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce (CCPR) will present the results of the 2025 Studies: Business and Consumer Confidence Index on Wednesday, December 10, during an event that will bring together representatives from the private sector, business leaders, and economic analysis specialists to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the local economy.
“Understanding economic behavior and the perceptions that influence spending, saving, and investment decisions—both among individuals and business owners—helps identify trends, anticipate future scenarios, and assess the island’s economic climate. These indicators are crucial for evaluating the level of optimism or caution within the various productive sectors and their potential impact on economic growth. Our goal is to provide accurate data that supports informed business decisions,” stated Attorney Margaret Ramírez Báez, President of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, while highlighting the organization’s commitment to sustainable economic development and collaboration between businesses and consumers.
The Business Confidence Index results will be presented by renowned economist José J. Villamil, while the Consumer Confidence Index will be presented by Tatiana Irizarry Hilera, Commercial Director of NielsenIQ. Both studies will provide a current snapshot of the business climate and consumer sentiment on the Island, serving as a strategic planning guide for both public and private sectors.
Attorney Liza M. García, Executive Director of the CCPR, emphasized the importance of these studies as essential tools for strategic decision-making in the private sector: “The information we will share is essential for all economic stakeholders. It allows us to anticipate trends and strengthen confidence in our ability to respond to the challenges of our environment,” stated García.
